From render to finished work, without losing a single detail of the concept

A bespoke entrance door where metal and wood become a single work

A bespoke entrance door engineered and crafted by Metalbril

This bespoke entrance door comes from the client’s idea and takes shape through a process managed entirely by Metalbril, from the initial render to installation. The project includes two doors with the same craftsmanship, one for the entrance and one for service, both with a pivot opening and a stainless steel frame. Every stage, from engineering the door system to producing the panels, from finishing the surfaces to the handle, was developed in-house, with no production intermediaries.

The wooden panels are milled on a design created specifically for the client, with a three-dimensional texture that plays with the light and adds depth to the surface. The wood milling is entrusted to Modelleria Zanchettin, while the sanding and burnishing are carried out by hand, to achieve the clouded chiaroscuro effects that bring the surface to life.

The true one-off piece is the handle: created from a 3D-printed model, it is copper-plated through electroplating, thickly brass-plated, burnished and finally lacquered. A functional sculpture, finished entirely by hand, that becomes the door’s distinctive signature. The frame is completed by the OxyBrass oxidised-brass-effect finish, which ties every element into a single expression where metal, wood and finishes speak to one another.

The handle is the artisanal heart of this door. It starts from a 3D-printed model, which is then copper-plated through an electroplating bath, thickly brass-plated, burnished and finally lacquered. The result is a one-off piece, a functional branch-shaped sculpture finished entirely by hand, where the burnishing creates clouded chiaroscuro effects that shift as the light changes. The handle rests on a wooden panel milled in a honeycomb pattern on a custom design, whose three-dimensional texture gives depth to the entire surface. Two distinct crafts, metal and wood, meeting in a single design gesture.

This bespoke entrance door is designed for spaces that are looking not for a door, but for a work of art. Perfect for luxury private residences, signature villas and residential projects where the entrance must have a memorable visual presence from the very first glance. The project includes two doors with the same craftsmanship, one for the entrance and one for service, both with a pivot opening and a stainless steel frame with an OxyBrass oxidised-brass-effect finish. The bespoke Metalbril entrance door comes from the client’s render and is developed entirely in-house, from engineering the door system to producing the wooden panels milled on a custom design, through to the hand-finished sculptural handle. Each piece is unique and can be customised in size, proportions and finishes in line with the design brief, with a sample validated before production.
