Metal painting is much more than a protective finish. It is the process that defines the final visual character of a piece, that establishes the relationship between the metal and the light, between the surface and those who observe it. At Metalbril, metal painting is a special treatment developed to measure for every project: starting from the choice of finish type, proceeding with careful surface preparation and arriving at a result validated on sample before production.
Certified painting. Documented quality on every commission
Metal carpentry painting at Metalbril is carried out in compliance with relevant European regulations. For projects requiring high anti-corrosion performance, we use high-quality paints with proven corrosion resistance, selected based on the environmental conditions of use. Among the products in use are IMO MED certified paints, suitable even for the most demanding contexts in the naval and international contract sectors. On request, we issue a laboratory certificate for every application, as a guarantee of the quality of the applied cycle. Anti-corrosion treatment of steel is an integral part of the process for all elements destined for high-level contract, hospitality and outdoor contexts.

Protective transparent painting is the most widely used: it preserves the natural colour of the metal and extends the life of the surface without altering its visual identity. It is the ideal choice for burnished brass, oxidized iron and treated copper, where the underlying finish must remain the protagonist. Matte painting delivers silent and matte surfaces, highly appreciated in contemporary design. Gloss painting instead brings maximum reflection, with surfaces that dialogue with the light and amplify the perception of space. Rust effect painting is among the most sought-after finishes for those seeking an authentic and materic aesthetic on iron and steel. Metal enamelling completes the repertoire for projects requiring compact, coloured surfaces with great surface resistance.

A process with different effects and bespoke results
Metal painting is carried out by spray in a dedicated booth, with surface preparation and product application cycles calibrated to the material and required finish. Whether it is a protective transparent, matte, gloss or materic effect painting, every cycle is developed in-house and validated on sample before production.

Brass painting is a delicate process that requires careful chemical preparation of the surface to guarantee adhesion and uniformity over time. The transparent version is the most requested because it preserves the warmth of the underlying finish, whether polished, burnished or brushed brass. For projects requiring a specific colour, we produce covering paints calibrated on sample, with the possibility of developing customised tones in line with the design brief.
