Types of finishes on metal

Every metal finishing process is the meeting point between technical expertise and aesthetic vision. We work for interior designers, architects and general contractors seeking a partner capable of transforming a design idea into a finished piece: staircases, cladding, doors, tables, decorative and architectural elements produced with industrial precision and artisanal care. Every process we carry out begins from a direct dialogue with the project and concludes with on-site installation, with a single point of contact for the entire journey.

Design

Design is the moment when an idea takes technical form: from brief analysis to 3D project, from sampling to validation.

Burnishing and oxidation

A chemical and thermal process that acts on the surface structure of the metal, generating dark, warm tones and a materiality that no painting can replicate.

Painting

It is the process that defines the final visual character of a piece, establishing the relationship between the metal and the light, between the surface and those who observe it.

Cleaning and polishing

Lavorazioni che portano il materiale al suo massimo potenziale visivo, rimuovendo le imperfezioni per arrivare alla finitura finale.

TIG and MIG welding

TIG and MIG welding is the process that holds every metal piece together. Carried out by qualified welders, with clean beads and precise joints.

Laser cutting and bending

Laser cutting and bending are the processes that define the geometry of every element: the shapes, angles, profiles and surfaces.

Types of finishes on metal for interior design and architecture.

The burnishing, also known as oxidation, is a chemical and thermal oxidation process that modifies the surface of the metal in depth, giving it dark, warm tones and a materiality impossible to achieve through painting alone. Applied to brass, copper, iron and steel, the results change radically depending on the material treated. On iron it delivers almost black, dense and deep tones. On brass it produces warm and sophisticated surfaces, highly requested in luxury interior design for tables, lamps, cladding and high-end furnishing accessories. A variant of burnishing is flame treatment, also an oxidation process for aesthetic purposes that generates original and customisable chromatic effects on brass, copper, iron and steel. Every metal burnishing treatment we carry out is developed on sample before production, to guarantee the expected result and validate the finish together with the designer.
