Bespoke metal finishes and surface treatments

Metal as you have never seen it before

Unique premium finishes, handcrafted for furniture and interior design projects.

For those who design contemporary furniture, metal is not just a material. It is that discreet yet decisive presence that defines the perceived quality of an object, the visual balance of a space. Achieving a custom finish, whether in brass, steel or aluminium, requires a partner with advanced technical expertise and aesthetic sensibility. At Metalbril we transform design requirements into tangible solutions, guaranteeing fast turnaround and maximum care in production, even for the most complex processes.

Because in contemporary design, standardisation is not enough. Skilled hands, production flexibility and a tailored approach to metal are what is needed. This is where we truly make the difference.

Our processes

Dark effect of burnished metal after metal burnishing
Burnishing
A chemical process that darkens and transforms the metal, making it more resistant to corrosion and giving it a matte, deep and uniformly elegant appearance.
metal cleaning and polishing phase by Metalbril
Cleaning and polishing
The removal of impurities and imperfections allows the essence of the material to emerge, for perfectly smooth metal surfaces ready for subsequent stages.
TIG metal welding on furnishing element
Welding
Where every part finds its bond: a solid, precise, invisible union, built to last and guarantee stability and reliability over time.
verniciatura metalli per finiture superficiali e trattamenti metallici di pregio
Painting
Layer by layer, colour settles onto the metal to protect it with custom solutions suited to different design requirements.
Metal working phase with handcrafted hammering
Hammering
A manual technique that imprints a unique and unrepeatable texture onto the metal, giving it character, expressiveness and strong artisanal value.
progetto su carta di un design
Design
From the initial sketch to production, every process begins with an idea: we translate it into custom technical solutions, with the utmost attention to detail.

Frequently asked question

Contact us for further information

Which materials do you work with?

freccia

We work metals such as brass, steel, aluminium, iron, copper and stainless steel, but we also finish surfaces such as wood, marble, resin and travertine with high-quality cladding. The raw material is chosen according to the project and enhanced by exclusive finishes, designed to transform surfaces into complex compositions rich in texture and unrepeatable chromatic nuances.

Do you also handle the design?

freccia

Yes, we follow the entire process, from idea to finished piece. Our highly qualified in-house technical office uses professional software to develop parametric models and ultra-high-resolution 3D renderings. This allows us to offer realistic previews and total control over the final result, supported by precise and accurate quality control.

How long does production take?

freccia

Timelines vary according to the complexity of the project, but we always provide a clear and detailed estimate after technical analysis. Direct control over every phase, from design to delivery, allows us to optimise timelines without sacrificing quality. Thanks to our in-house carpentry and autonomous management of logistics and commissions, every process follows a precise and uninterrupted schedule. We also work on site to coordinate resources and materials, managing assembly directly. The work is delivered finished, in line with the client’s requests and expectations.

What is needed to request a quote?

freccia

To start, a technical drawing, even preliminary, or a sketch is enough, together with indications on materials and quantities required. The more details we are given, the more precise and tailored a quote we can offer. From there, we build the most suitable solution for the project together.

Is sampling free of charge?

freccia

No, samples are chargeable. Every piece is a unique work, hand-finished like a miniature original. Costs vary according to materials, processes and production times, because every test is a genuine bespoke creation.

Can I request a custom finish?

freccia

Absolutely yes. Our finishes are never standard: every surface is treated with refined techniques and a unique artistic touch. From oxidization to acid treatment, from materic to classic textures, we transform every request into a bespoke work, the result of innovative creative processes and authentic craftsmanship.

Do you also carry out complex non-standard work?

freccia

Yes, and that is precisely what sets us apart. We carry out unconventional processes, applying rare techniques and finishes that are difficult to find elsewhere. Our mastery lies in the exception, not the rule.
