Antique brass design console. When resin becomes metal
There is a precise moment when a material changes its nature. The base of this console is born in resin, light and shapeable into forms that traditional metal could never assume. Then comes the liquid metal, applied by hand to the surface, which completely transforms the identity of the piece: what was resin becomes antique brass, with the hammered texture of the M47 finish carrying across every centimetre of surface the traces of an intense and precise artisanal process. The result is a design console of great sculptural impact, where the organic and fluid form dialogues with the precious materiality of brass, in a balance between contemporary and antique that is rarely achieved in bespoke luxury furniture.
The M47 Hammered finish is an artisanal process that creates on the surface an irregular and organic texture, with tonal variations ranging from bright gold to deep bronze, enhanced by raking light that transforms every irregularity into a point of light. It is a finish that tells the story of the process: every mark on the surface is the result of a precise manual operation, making each piece unique and unrepeatable. Applied to the liquid metal that coats the resin base, the M47 Hammered finish brings to the antique brass a chromatic depth and materiality that no standardised industrial process can replicate.
Finishes used for this project
This design console is conceived for spaces that are not looking for a piece of furniture, but for a work. Perfect for entrances, corridors and representative spaces in luxury private residences, high-end hotels and showrooms where every element must have a memorable visual presence. The Metalbril antique brass console is available to measure, with the possibility of developing custom dimensions, proportions and finishes in accordance with the design brief. Every piece is produced in-house, from modelling to finishing, with sampling validated before production.
